OUR STORY

Our goal is not only to meet your expectations, but to exceed them.

OVERVIEW

We believe in doing what we say we will do and building relationships with our customers. We will do everything possible to meet your needs, or we will tell you that we cannot.

Every aspect of our facilities is built with our customers in mind. We have continually updated the facilities to keep it as modern as possible to maximize productivity and efficiency. From the quote process to scheduling delivery, our turnaround time is among the best in the business. The plants have a high volume capacity to make sure customers orders are delivered as quickly as possible. Our WQC – Certified facilities adhere to strict quality control measures and we perform in-house and  third – party inspections on every pole we produce. We fit our front end loaders with rollers to make sure that each pole is well taken care of while it is in our possession.

No matter which mode of transportation our customers prefer, Beach Timber Company will deliver. We have a rail spur on-site and another rail line a short distance away. We can load poles in containers, or bundle loads on a flat bed trailer. We have our own fleet of conventional and self-unloader semi-trucks. Also, our boom loaders are built with extra clamps to prevent damage to the poles while being removed from the trailer.

Our history

Tree_BTC

Gary Strickland opened the doors of Beach Timber Company, Inc on four acres of land that had previously served as part of his family’s turpentine operations. The company was founded as a white pole manufacturing operation that produced semi-manufactured utility poles, selling to treating companies like Ace Pole.

Over the next 10 years, Beach Timber Company, Inc. experienced significant growth, and in 1996, the decision was made by Gary to relocate to a forty-acre location North of Alma, GA. At this site, several modifications were made to the existing pole mill to improve efficiency and production capacity. After successfully establishing BTC as the premier supplier of Kiln Dried (KD) untreated white utility poles, Gary then decided to add a second line to the manufacturing operation. In 2000, to satisfy our customers' needs, a small pole mill was added to increase the production of small utility pole and piling products. An additional dry kiln was added to provide high quality kiln dried untreated white poles and pilings. By doing so, Beach Timber Company was able to ensure our customers had the necessary products to grow their business.

During these periods of growth, Beach Timber Company expanded their operations to include the procurement of standing timber from private and industrial land owners. BTC has grown its harvesting operations through contract and company owned logging companies. BTC is able to source the fiber we need

for our pole manufacturing facilities, as well as developing working relations with other wood using

companies in our markets.

Beach Timber Company, Inc. acquired Ace Pole Company, the largest single site CCA utility pole producer in the United States, in August of 2020, bringing together over 90 years of experience in the utility pole market. The acquisition of Ace Pole into the Beach Timber Company, Inc. family of companies was a natural fit.

Today, Beach Timber Company operates its two locations, Alma and Blackshear, Georgia, with the ability to serve its customers needs while exceeding expectations.

Beach Timber Company is proud to continue our legacy to produce the best quality products and offer the best customer service in the industry.
